Closing the gap before
children close the door.
The STEAM equity gap isn't a middle school problem or a high school problem. It's a kindergarten problem. Eden8 works where the window is still open.
Aviation and aerospace are the fastest-growing workforce sectors. And almost no one is preparing students for them early enough.
The United States faces a critical shortage of trained pilots, aerospace engineers, drone operators, and aviation technicians. By 2032, industry estimates project a deficit of more than 200,000 aviation workers in North America alone.
The pipeline problem starts at the very beginning. Most K–5 students in underserved schools never encounter aviation, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing as a concept – let alone as a career possibility. By the time those opportunities surface in middle or high school, students have already formed fixed ideas about who this work is for.
We build the intervention that happens before that window closes – at the ages when curiosity is highest and identity is still forming.
The sector where workforce need meets educational opportunity.
Advanced Air Mobility – drones, electric vertical takeoff aircraft, autonomous systems – is one of the most accessible entry points into aerospace for young learners. It's visible, tactile, and happening now.
Fastest-Growing Sector
The FAA projects a need for 17,000 new pilots annually through 2036. The drone industry alone is expected to generate 100,000+ jobs by 2030.
Early Exposure Changes Outcomes
Research consistently shows that early STEAM identity formation – before age 10 – is the single strongest predictor of career pursuit in technical fields. students in underserved communities are the least likely to receive this exposure.
Standards-Aligned by Design
Mighty Tails™ curriculum maps directly to Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Common Core, giving school districts a clear adoption path without additional burden on teachers.
Mighty Tails
An original animated series built for kids, designed for classrooms, and optimized for the students who have the most to gain from early STEAM access.
Each episode of Mighty Tails follows characters navigating challenges rooted in real aviation and aerospace science. The storytelling is kid-forward and action-oriented. The science underneath it is rigorous and teacher-verified.
Paired with a standards-aligned K–5 curriculum, Mighty Tails gives educators a complete teaching system – not just a video to play. Lesson plans, activities, and vocabulary guides ship with every episode release.
"Mighty Tails makes aerospace feel like it was made for kids like mine."
2nd Grade Teacher: Westminster CharterMighty Tails is the first program. Not the last.
Eden8 is a program-building institution. Mighty Tails demonstrates the model – high-quality, standards-aligned, animation-forward educational content deployed specifically in underserved communities.
Future programs will follow the same framework: identify a sector where workforce need is acute and early exposure is absent, build curriculum and content that meets students at their level, and deploy where the impact is highest.
We are not building a single show. We are building a methodology.
Bring Mighty Tails to your school.
We work with underserved school districts in Monterey County and Los Angeles County. If you're an administrator or educator interested in piloting the curriculum, we'd like to hear from you.
